Imaginé par David Ken et William Lafarge en septembre 2009,
le LOLPROJECT est une œuvre photographique qui célèbre tous
les citoyens en réalisant leurs portraits en plein éclat de rire.
Le LOLPROJECT a pour ambition de saisir le « lâcher-prise »,
sans doute l’un des rares instants de sincérité et de spontanéité
où l’on ne contrôle plus son image.
Ouvert à tous, ce projet photographique universel fait du bien
à celui qui en vit l’expérience, mais aussi à celui qui regarde
ces mosaïques de milliers d’éclats de rire.
Une véritable experience fédératrice qui procure bien-être et bonne humeur.
De nombreuses institutions et entreprises font appel au LOLPROJECT
pour profiter en interne de cette vague d’optimisme.
Grâce à ces soutiens, le LOLPROJECT se rend régulièrement
dans les hôpitaux, avec comme ambition de faire un peu de bien.
Une parenthèse bénévole qui apporte chaleur et soutien
aux patients, familles et personnel soignant.
The LOLPROJECT was the product of the imaginations
of David Ken and William Lafarge in September 2009
and is a photographic project which celebrates ordinary people
by taking their photograph while they are literally laughing out loud.
The goal of the LOLPROJECT is to capture that moment of release,
which must be one of the rare moments of sincerity
(and spontaneity), when we can no longer control the way we look.
This universal photographic project is open to all and is good,
not only for those who actually experience that moment of laughter, but
also for those who see these mosaics of thousands of people laughing out loud.
Having witnessed the feelgood factor and
the wellbeing that this experience produces,
numerous institutions and businesses are now using
the LOLPROJECT to let this wave of optimism wash over them too.
With the support of such institutions and businesses,
the LOLPROJECT can now regularly be taken into hospitals
with the aim of doing some good. It provides a brief and benevolent
distraction and brings warmth and a bit of extra support
to patients, families, and hospital staff.
